Present Continuos vs Present Simple

Como estos días hemos estado revisando la diferencia entre el presente simple y el continuo y todavía tenéis alguna duda os hago un pequeño resumen.

Present Simple: we use it to express routines. It is very common to see Frequency Adverbs before the verb.

SUBJECT +FREQUENCY ADVERB + VERB + COMPLEMENTS

I always get up at 7 o'clock

REMEMBER TO ADD -S TO THE VERB IF THE SUBJECT IS 3RD PERSON SINGULAR

She usually goes to the gym.

Present Continuous: we use it to talk about actions in progress and future plans.

SUBJECT + VERB TO BE + VERB-ING + COMPLEMENTS

He is writing a letter at the moment.
We are visiting John tomorrow morning.

CAREFUL WHEN ADDING -ING TO SOME VERBS:
(si el verbo acaba en e muda esta e cae y se añade ing, en verbos como swim, se dobla la consonante final y en otros como study se conserva la y al añadir ing)
make - making
swim - swimming
study -studying
